Manu Crook$
After showcasing at BIGSOUND earlier this month, and recently supporting Stormzy, YG, and Tory Lanez, on their respective Australian tours, Manu Crooks is excited to announce his first ever Australian headline shows - heading to Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth this November and December presented by Noisey. These dates join previously announced appearances at The PLOT Fesitival, Copresents in Melbourne, and the Alison Wonderland Scarehouse Project.
This comes after the release of the music video for "Under Pressure," the latest single from his recently released debut EP, mood forever.
Produced and directed by J en Collective in collaboration with Red Bull Sound Select, the visual offers a stark contrast between the suburban background of previous videos - placing Manu up against the harsh beauty of Australia's rural landscape in a Bonnie and Clyde style getaway.

With the release of the EP mood forever in August, Manu has spent the last 12 months "establishing himself as the next hip-hop artist out of Australia to make international waves." (Pigeons & Planes) Serving as his introduction to a global market, the 6-track project features production from Miracle and DOPAM!NE, and a guest appearance from fellow Aussie vocalist/producer, JOY.
Based in Sydney, Manu Crooks has a definitively international sound. He is bridging the gap between hip-hop hemispheres and representing a new era of music in Australia - an era of culturally diverse and sonically challenging artists who are telling stories of their life experiences and the world around them.
This universal sound comes from growing up in Ghana, before finally settling as an Australian citizen in Sydney as a young teen. Because of this, Manu's palette of influences is lush and diverse - he speaks two languages, is an artist, and a producer. This comprehensive creativity perfectly showcases a new breed of beats coming out of Sydney, breaking the traditional structure of hip-hop in Australia to reveal an exciting and interesting new soundscape.
"Building a dedicated following with his "raw lyricism and seamless flow," (The Fader) Manu's influence continues to grow. With his music getting spins on Triple J, Fbi, and Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Manu's originality has made him stand out from the crowd, earning him the chance to join Stormzy, YG, and Tory Lanez, on their respective Australian tours. He has also been featured extensively on Spotify and Apple playlists world-wide, and regularly racks up hundreds of thousands of views on his videos.
No matter which way you turn, "Manu has been steadily gaining notoriety on a global scale" (Highsnobiety), and he's only just getting started.
