Up close. Unfiltered. Unforgettable.

Presented by Optus

Glitter Club is now Magda’s Glitter Club, honouring Magda Szubanski — trailblazing comedian, actor, author and LGBTQIA+ advocate whose legacy continues to shape our community.

From Fast Forward and Big Girl’s Blouse to Kath & Kim and The D-Generation, Magda has defined Aussie comedy for decades — noice, different, unusual, and utterly iconic.

This year’s Mardi Gras Community Float, “ECSTATICA about Magda,” celebrates six fan favourites: Chenille, Lynette Flannel, Gina Minehart, Michelle, Lynne Postlethwaite and Sharon Strzelecki. So crack the Tia Maria and pass the footy franks — we’re toasting a true legend.

The Mardi Gras Community Float is powered by volunteers from all walks of life. Final tickets to Magda’s Glitter Club are on sale now. Arrive early for the Parade or watch live on Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Saturday 28 February, 7:30pm AEDT.

Up close. Unfiltered. Unforgettable.
Step into Magda’s Glitter Club — the ultimate premium vantage point for the 2026 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade, right in the heart of Taylor Square. This isn’t just watching the Parade. It’s feeling every beat.

Raised viewing deck. Dedicated bars. Curated food. Private amenities. Total immersion.

Headlining the only premium viewing experience on the route: DJ Dan Murphy and Estée Louder (Jess Hill). Fresh from sold-out Club Broadway and I Remember House, DJ Dan Murphy brings a high-voltage set built for the Parade. Estée Louder — the force behind Ultra Violet — delivers her fierce, femme-led sound straight to Taylor Square.

Plus a riotous Kath & Kim tribute from Carmen Geddit & Charisma Belle, and live performances by Enchanting Energy, King Kael, Rachel Dryden, Spice Princess and Via.

Magda’s Glitter Club isn’t just a place to watch.
It’s where Mardi Gras comes alive.

Please Note: Tickets are available for people requiring accessible viewing access, please note that this is different to the free accessible viewing area. Glitter Club is a premium viewing experience with live entertainment and additional facilities - including 2x food tracks and 3x bars. The free accessible viewing area is a free area that provides additional facilities for different needs. Please find more information here.

An accessible buggy can deliver patrons from the end of the accessible bus route to both the gate at free accessible viewing on Short Street and to Linden Lane for Glitter Club.
