The lobster’s out of the tank: Asquith - head honcho of renowned label empire Lobster Theremin -touches down for Lost Sundays this weekend, July 24.After kickstarting the label in 2013 with the debut EP from Palms Trax, Asquith (Jimmy to his mates) has gone on to grow Lobster Theremin from plucky indie-upstart into a globally recognised tastemaker. Specialising in sounds from the underground across all manner of genres, Lobster Theremin has played an instrumental role in launching the careers of DJ Seinfeld, Ross From Friends, Sweely, Hidden Spheres and Australia’s own Andy Garvey, Subjoi and AK Sports. With a keen ear for the next big sound (and the A&R track record to prove it), Asquith’s breathless DJ sets are as unpredictable as they are exhilarating.
