"With an unusual theme, songs from a great group of artists and Monica's own hilarious interpretation of the music, this show is a winner! The rating is MA15+ (i.e. 'drug references & frequent coarse language') not at all the 'PG Monica' most people are used to!!!"

In an all new show, Monica Trapaga sings the songs of her heroines in a riotous tribute to the legends of rehab... only Monica could make Rehab seem this funny.

The show is an extremely funny take on the legends of song who, through one addiction or another, have made "Rehab" cool. Performed in "intimate" mode, joined by accomplished composer and musical director Elliott Wilshier on piano and vocals, Monica performs tunes from the 1940's right through to now - the common thread being a visit (or more) to Rehab by all of the featured artists!

The Kings Cross Festival is very excited to announce the inclusion of Monica Trappaga as part of the festival entertainment programme.

The Cross, Kings Cross, the Hood, the Village, whatever you call the postcode of 2011, walking the streets of our vibrant suburb is a rite of passage for every Sydneysider and any tourist hitting the harbour city.

Festival Artistic Director Ignatius Jones is the name behind our program. A name synonymous with live entertainment designed to connect and inspire.

We've gathered the best fashion, food, design, culture, literary, art and entertainment curators to put together a Festival Program that celebrates the diversity that makes us different to anywhere else in Sydney or Australia.
