Your friendly neighbourhood queer dance party, brought to you by Pussay Poppins.

Judy’s is back within the unholy walls of Altar for our monthly club takeover, inviting a space for queer communion and celebration. Join us in April for a special Birthday surprise event for Pussay Poppins where we will be hosting our first Judge Judy's Battle Royal Competition!

Performers will sign up on the night for a round robin competition, lip syncing to a shuffled playlist of songs they will not know and be judged by the birthday girl herself, Pussay Poppins. They will compete against their fellow competitors to get to the top to win big!

More information to follow so keep an eye out on socials but there will be no preregistration for the night, first in best dressed! Plus plenty of surprises throughout the night!

Come and watch these Tasmanians battle for their lives to songs they may not know to win the title of Judge Judy's BR Monarch!

Above all, Judy's is a space for the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC community to feel safe and comfortable. Do your part to be respectful and considerate of others.

We acknowledge and respect the Palawa people as the traditional and ongoing owners of the skies, land, and water of Lutruwita. We pay our respects to their elders both past and present and acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded.

We believe in safe and positive spaces where all people are welcome and respected. If you experience or see something that doesn’t look right, please report it to one of our friendly staff.

Level access is available from 112 Murray Street via the black and white laneway leading to the Garden. There is one accessible toilet. There is braille signage and tactile ground surface indicators throughout the venue. Please contact us via prior to the show day or speak to staff at In The Hanging Garden for assistance.

If you hold a government-issued Companion Card for people with disabilities who require a companion and are purchasing a full-priced ticket to our event, you may be eligible for one free ticket for your companion, please contact Moshtix here.
