Jerome Blazé 'Giver' Album Launch (FINAL TIX)

7:00pm, Wed 8 June, 2022

Event Details

On June 8th producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jerome Blazé brings to life his debut album, Givertaking to the stage alongside a 7-piece band for his first ever headline show.

The last 2 years has seen Blazé cement himself as a distinctive presence in the Australian music scene. Following on from the colourful folktronica of his 2020 EP Open, A Home, an independently released string of singles over 2021/ 22 garnered widespread support from industry tastemakers including Triple J, SYN Radio and landing rotation on FBi Radio and Triple J Unearthed. Now, the release of a debut full-length project sees Blazé crystallise his sound, combining intimate storytelling at the crossroads of electronica, folk, classical and jazz.

Alongside his solo endeavours, Blazé is a keen collaborative voice with some of Australia’s most heralded rising artists including Nick Ward, Lola Scott, Paul Mac, Odette and Ivy-Jane Browne. An expert at his craft, he also teaches popular music at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Blazé’s live show is a reflection of his eclectic influences, combining the classical sounds of a wind trio (clarinet, alto saxophone, bass clarinet) with an energetic hybrid electronic/ acoustic rhythm section. With visuals to match, Blazé’s debut live show is an experience not to be missed.

Support by Tom Snowdon and Zion Garcia
