House Your Soul 10 Year Anniversary Loft Party

Warehouse parties, Loft parties, Civic Underground adventures and everything in between, we now enter the next chapter for House Your Soul….

We’ve been fortunate to hold our parties in some great spaces over the years and this event will be no different. The location is secret but what we can tell you is that its intimate, overlooks the city skyline and is perfect for the dancer.

Music selectors for the night are none other than HYS residents, George Kristopher, Mr-X, Mikekon and B.Livvin. Expect to hear Deep and Soulful House Music, U.S Garage, Disco, and everything in between.

This event is BYO alcohol. Water and cloak facilities will be available at the door.

The Story (so far)

12 Years ago George Kristopher and Arthur Koutsakis (Mr-X) had an idea of promoting and supporting parties around Sydney that had an underground feel and soulful touch. Both being DJ’s for many years prior, it only made sense to create a party of their own. Inspired by the legendary parties of New York City, New Jersey and Chicago, they both felt a party solely focused on the dancer and music was missing from Sydney’s underground scene.

Wind the clock forward a few years and the young and talented Michael Kondilis (Mikekon) joined the family and began the infamous “Respect” parties at D2MG’s loft space. Also supported by Phil Toke, these parties were a success and brought together many like-minded people and created the friendships only music can do.

Since those years, HYS took the next step of touring House Music pioneers and amazing talents from around the globe such as; Danny Krivit (Body & Soul NYC/718 Sessions), Timmy Regisford (The Shelter), Josh Milan (Blaze/Honeycomb Music), Osunlade (Yoruba Records), Zepherin Saint (Tribe) and Ian Friday (Global Soul/Tea Party). Many being their first time travelling to our shores. The Civic Underground was our home during these years and were always amazing to partner with.

The next chapter expanded the family further.. enter Brian Maruziva (B.Livvin). “B” (as he is affectionately known) brought a different style thanks to his London roots. Shortly after, the team took over an empty building on York St in Sydney’s CBD and created more unique parties for local music lovers.
