A SLICE OF NEW ORLEANS WITH SOME CHICAGO DEEP DISH ON TOP

Grab your beads, put on the dancing shoes and some comfortable stylish threads and reacquaint yourself with celebration and dancing on a Saturday night as Horse Drawn Cadillac and Kid Hank come to town for a party! Both bands are running hot after a return to festivals! ( Gumball and Kiama Jazz and Blues). We’ll start with some Trad New Orleans for pizza and cocktails, ramp it up with some blues, and get a jam going with the two bands to get you to the late night session!

Kid Hank -

Sydney’s Inner West-based Kid Hank evokes the vibrancy of the New Orleans French quarter. The joyful rendition of NOLA street music gives its audience a reminder of a time gone by…. 

the music is traditionally-inspired, but watching Kid Hank play isn't traditional at all. The compositions scream '20s and '30s but have a modern twist. The musical gumbo is guaranteed to surprise and get you dancing, and maybe even generate an occasional tear.

Horse Drawn Cadillac–  feel like a wayward journey to New Orleans via Chicago on a bump n roll ride with some high octane horses? 

The band was due to play at Lazybones last April - and then.... well…. so they took to writing during the ‘gig drought’- concocting some new grooves, (soon to be released)… and are excited to be returning to Lazybones and filling up the dance floor once more!!  Featuring some new originals (including our mandatory Covid song,  " I Tested Positive " , plus a few blues standards and hidden southern drenched treasures from the deep vault of musical heritage from these great cities, and all stops in between….. Built for ALL on the floor!

A 7 piece band including members of Benji and the Saltwater Sound System Mic Elderfield on sax and Nello on harmonica, along with Marcus and Matt Adamson on guitars, Drew Pearde on bass (The Groove,Big Erle), Jayda Tham vocals and Will van Ekert (The Moon Hounds, Kid Hank ,and various other exciting projects) driving the Caddy down the road.

$40 entry includes band and a pizza 🍕  of your choice
