On Friday the 15th of June, the Sewing Room brings you a night of incredible local talent. Tanaya Harper and Grace Sanders will start off the night with solo sets of original music, captivating you with their sweet vocals and sophisticated guitar playing. Stella Kelly will follow these fantastic acts with two powerhouse sets of Hits You Wanna Hear! Stella and her amazing band will have you dancing and singing all night to popular tunes from acts such as the Killers, OutKast, Rhianna, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and many more.

Tanya Harper:

Indie-rock angel Tanaya Harper is one of Perth's leading ladies of original music.
Her insightful lyricism resonates with audiences as she delivers her personal experiences with depression, anxiety and living with bipolar disorder.
Tanaya is well-known for her intimate messages and silken melodies, paired with disarming stage banter. She's supported many admirable musicians, including Alex The Astronaut, Jess Locke and Abbe May, as well as sharing the stage with artists like Stella Donnelly, Lucy Peach and Carla Geneve.
Tanaya also founded four-piece Bells Rapids who played In The Pines (2017) in their first active year, and supported Jen Cloher in Perth earlier this year.
Tanaya's debut EP 'Some Kinds' is due for release through Melbourne label Healthy Tapes in June, following single release 'Graceless'.

Grace Sanders:

Grace Sanders combines a hybrid of soul, contemporary, rock, jazz and folk influences to create a genre bending body of work centring on story telling that is harnessed through a focus on lyrical wit and honesty. Her blunt, to the point style has been developed through regular shows on the Perth circuit, of which she is a regular feature with her guitar and stripped back vocals. With the release of 3 singles under her belt to date, Grace has garnered a dedicated audience in anticipation of her first EP that is scheduled for the end of the year. With passion and a tour-de-force attitude on the music scene, one of her performances is not to be missed.

Stella Kelly:

Nineteen-year-old Stella Kelly is an up and coming singer/songwriter in the Perth music scene and is currently in her second year of studying a Bachelor of Jazz and Improvisation at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. In 2016 she was a winner of the MCUI songwriting competition and collaboratively wrote the MCUI song of the year with mentors John Foreman and Jay Laga'aia. Stella was also nominated for a Western Australian Music (WAM) Song of the year award in 2015. Stella's debut EP 'Time Will Tell' features her warm, soulful voice and was released in early April 2018. The undeniable passion in her heart wrenching and relatable lyrics will have you enticed, wanting more than just the five songs on her EP. At The Sewing Room she will bring you the songs You Wanna Hear. Come and have a sing and dance with Stella and her incredible band.
