Hear My Eyes are excited to announce their first of three residency shows at Howler as part of a Winter Shorts series.

Hear My Eyes is getting into the laid back winter vibes by presenting a series of chilled out short film and live music events. Each night will include two or more acts on the bill that will each perform an original score to a short film and then also play a full set of their music.

Come warm yourself by the audiovisual delights and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with cheap $10 entry, more room to groove and a casual vibe made for you to enjoy food and drinks. Speaking of food, Howler have come to the table with a crazy good burger and beer special serving up $19 Burgers with a $5 Beer for just $12! So rug up and get on down.

Albrecht La'Brooy

Melbourne improvisers Sean La'Brooy and Alex Albrecht modernise the classic jazz format, while walking house music through the rainforest and down to the shore. Absorbing Australia's landscape to craft enlightened ambient-dance on the fly, the pair's performances are never to be missed and never to be repeated.

Albrecht La'Brooy will be performing a live score to the short film Waves '98.

The film is about Omar, a teenager living on the outskirts of Beirut in the late 1990s. One day something strange and wondrous compels him to venture into the city. Winner of the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Palme d'Or.

Miris

Miris is a project of exploration in electronic sounds by brothers Monty and Casey Hartnett.

Miris will be performing a live score to the short film Sea of Vapors. A pulsating flicker film that transcends the formal conventions of found-footage films, resulting in a hypnotic allegory of the lunar cycle.
