Funk collective Headphones Jones are throwing a huge stripey dance party at Boney to launch their debut EP, Hectic Zebra. Featuring big horns, driving rhythms and punchy vocals, the EP is a four-track exploration through Funk, Soul, Afrobeat and Latin music, collaboratively written by the band. Recorded at Pughouse Studios in Thornbury, the EP features two instrumental and two vocal tracks.

The launch party will pay homage to the Zebra, or "horse-tiger" as it was known in Roman times, a famously elegant animal known for hanging around in large groups and spending most of its time eating, much like the band members of Headphones Jones. Fellow snappy dressers, Lake Minnetonka, will be bringing an explosive support set of Minneapolis-style jazz fusion and on-stage antics.

Prepare yourselves for a stripey night of infinite dancing, an abundance of groove and a dazzle of zebras. This will also be the very first opportunity to take home a copy of the CD.

DRESS CODE: Giraffes. Just joking, it's ZEBRAS (obviously). Zebra pattern, stripes or black and white combinations. Remember, each zebra's coat is unique, so creative individuality will be rewarded.
