HARPER BLOOM (DEBUT SINGLE LAUNCH)

Singer-songwriter, Harper Bloom is a 25-year-old Perth-born, Melbourne-based artist, who writes acoustic-electro-pop vignettes of vulnerability, same-sex love, and self-acceptance. Her debut single "Mary" from her forthcoming EP, "Faith, Sex and Skin", is the result of her team-up with prolific Australian producer Benjamin McCarthy (Alex the Astronaut, G-Flip, Thelma Plum, Megan Washington), who has enhanced Bloom’s pared-back acoustic songs with electro-pop flourishes. 

Bloom began on the open-mic night circuit in Manhattan in late 2018. She holed herself up for three-months in an apartment in Brooklyn writing songs and rapidly gained attention on ground. Bloom returned to Perth, armed with a body of recordings and onstage confidence and quickly found herself performing at sold out showcases and packed bars. Mid-2019, Bloom sold all of her belongings and flew to Melbourne to take a punt at persuing music full-time. She has been a lively and unique addition to the Melbourne Music Scene with performances at venues such as The Retreat, The Workers Club, The Merri Creek Tavern and The Old Bar under her belt, as well as live performances on community radio. Recently forming her full 4-piece band, Bloom is excited to return to The Old Bar and bring to life her debut single, "Mary".
