The music reflects an unconventional, vagabond sound combining and working within a mix of genres and styles. In the Gypsy Brown world musical genres come together and explode to create a fusion of sounds, that take influence from funk, Latin, reggae and all bits in-between …the music can’t be pigeon-holed, leaving you wanting more.

Elvis has played with and recorded alongside some of the most respected musicians in the industry.  Disco Montego,  Rene Geyer, Mark De Clive Lowe, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Mo Horizons (Germany), Breakestra (USA), Joe Bataan(USA), The Bamboos, Daniel Merriweather, Nouvelle Vague(France), Cirque du soleil- Totem band.

Gypsy Brown first unleashed on to the scene with debut single Life’s a Trip released independently through Freestyle Records in the UK. The track was later released on Freestyles’ Fresh Out Of The Box compilation as a remix by Mo’ Horizons, which led to a collaboration with them on a track called ‘Back To Melbourne’. This track featured on Mo Horizons and the Banana Lounge System released through Agogo Records.

Acclaimed producer John Castle (Washington, The Cat Empire, Lior, The Bamboos, The Drones) worked with Elvis to take Gypsy Brown to new creative heights and cover of classic 70’s track Stepping Stones  by Johnny Harris- which was released on The Soul of Melbourne compilation album.
