Event Details

A vivid recount of live music history by artists who have held space in the iconic Gershwin Room. Told in an intimate dressing room setting offering a peek into the 'keep out' zones of The Espy, where the notes of music and memories are in constant flux.

GREEN ROOM DIARIES

Join us in a fly-on-the-wall account of the good, the bad and the ugly of live music history at The Espy. A Gershwin Room alumni will share wild and nostalgic tales of what actually happens when the audience isn’t around. Share in a taste the rider, experience a special performance, then venture via our secret passageway into the Gershwin Room itself.

This storytelling experience is presented as part of the Felton Museum. A pop-up contemporary museum celebrating the life of Alfred Felton, shedding light on the little known story of his impact on Melbourne's high art and low living.  If you're yet to discover the museum itself or the program of stories and adventures in and around it, head back to the Arts Program page for more information and tickets.

We acknowledge the lands on which we present this work are the lands of the Yaluk-ut Weelam people of the Kulin Nations. We pay our respects to their elders, past, present and future.
