Event Details

River Dreams is a band led by Sydney musician Carl Manwarring.
Sonically, their atmospheric blend of rock'n'roll is reminiscent of bands such as The Velvet Underground and Wilco. Their original music is highly lyrical, often wistful with an underlying playful dark humour.

Carl Manwarring is a Newtown based musician with a country-folk/rock n roll vibe likened to Dylan or Lou Reed. His songs are very poetic, like an American literature novel shortened into a 3-minute song. After a successful EP release with his former band, The Darkened Seas, Carl's been writing and recording solo material and performing sneak peaks all over the Inner West this past year with River Dreams. They are proud to present their first single ''Airport" recorded by Joseph Ireland (The Middle East, Joseph Liddy and the Skeleton Horse).
