90’s Sydney indi folk pop darlings Cactus Child return for one night only at Petersham Bowling Club on Thursday November 19.

Gemma Deacon and Ian Shadwell are best known as the songwriting team behind Cactus Child, the Sydney-based ensemble that played its part in the mid-nineties acoustic revival. Their sound is an intricate tapestry of semi-acoustic atmospheres, featuring Shadwell’s intricate guitar work and Deacon’s haunting vocals and driving melodies. They’ll be joined by bassist and fellow bandmember Chris Miller, along with some very special guests. Expect your favourite songs from their three Cactus Child albums, material from their later project Magichour, and new material written during these crazy covid times.
