Five of Australia’s best comedians and your host Merrick Watts will make their way to Brown Brothers for 6 hours of comedy, music, wine, gourmet grub and the most amazing festival vibes.

DENISE SCOTT - Winner of the People's Choice Award at the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Scotty's acting career began nearly thirty years ago, but it has been in the last decade that she has hit the big time, scoring high profile TV spots, filling thousand-seat theatres, releasing two books and even returning to her acting heritage with ongoing roles on Seven’s Winners and Losers and Nine’s House Husbands.

RHYS NICHOLSON - Comedian. Writer. Craft Enthusiast. Razor sharp, daring and downright lascivious, Rhys Nicholson is a wit quickly gaining international acclaim. Nominated for an Aria Award for Best Comedy Album, twice nominated for The Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Show and in 2018 he won the New Zealand Comedy Festival Best Show award. In 2019 Rhys made his USA television debut with a stand up spot on the Conan O'Brien Show.

LEHMO - One of Australia’s most experienced and well-travelled comedians. Lehmo's live work has seen him headline at comedy clubs for well over fifteen years and work all corners of the globe – and is also the country's number one 'combat comic', having completed seven 'tours of duty'. Also host of the ABC radio's Grandstand and a team captain on Fox Footy's AFL-themed show The Beep Test.

CAL WILSON - Adopted Kiwi, Cal Wilson, crossed the Tasman in 2003 and has gone on to become one of our most popular comedians, a perennial favourite on many television shows. In 2018, Cal was invited by Netflix to the Montreal Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal to record a Netflix Original Comedy Special. 2019 also saw Cal become a very serious children’s author, penning two books.

IVAN ARISTEGUIETA - Leaving behind his career as a Brew Master and Food Technologist in his home country of Venezuela, Ivan has been performing comedy in his second language now for 8 years. Ivan is now a regular on Aussie TV and has won a entire swag of awards including; Best Newcomer at the Sydney Comedy Festival and Weekly Best Comedy at the Adelaide and Perth Fringe.

MERRICK WATTS - The "Merric" from Merrick and Rosso. Mez, as he is affectionately known, has worked at almost every radio and TV station in the country. He also appears regularly on 'Studio 10' where he often ruins their infomercials and cooking segments. Mez loves wine, he also loves writing about himself in the 3rd person!

Grapes of Mirth provides the ultimate festival day with five headline comedy sets, a host with the most, and some sweet DJ tunes (brought to you by the one and only, DJ PEDRO MOSHMAN!) to keep you entertained before, between, and after the comedy has ended.

This is an 18+ event, because there are comedians involved, and well, because there are comedians involved.

SEATING & BUS INFORMATION

Seating - Brown Brother's beautiful grounds will be set up with areas to accommodate picnic blankets, low and high back foldable chairs. Please BYO picnic rugs and BYO foldable chairs, to make yourself nice and comfortable for the day. The lower you are to the ground, the closer to the stage you'll be. Empty soft cooler bags and water bottles are also permitted (please no eskys). Bag checks will be conducted upon entry for prohibited items.

Buses - there are return buses running from Wangaratta, Beechworth and Albury / Wodonga.
