Grapes of Mirth is heading to the historic 'The Station' in Newcastle, and we're bringing the Hunter Valley with us! Combining our three favourite things; comedy, wine & people. And when we say wine, we're talking about six of the Hunter Valley's best wine producers! On Saturday 11th of May, get ready for 7 hours of comedy, music, wine, gourmet grub and good times. Six of Australia's best comedians, and of course your host, MERRICK WATTS.

NAZEEM HUSSAIN - Star of "Orange is the New Brown" and survivor of "I'm a celebrity get me out of here", Naz is one of the most likeable comedians in the biz and after seeing his Festival show recently we were all unanimous in saying "We have to get Naz to Newcastle". Super funny, utterly engaging and adored by punters and comedians alike. Don't miss his set!

DENISE SCOTT - A hilarious veteran of the comedy world, Denise has appeared on countless Australian T.V shows. Scotty is currently co-host of Network 10's "Studio 10", the voice of Nine's "Travel Guides", and she recently strutted her stuff on "Dancing With The Stars"; this is a career that takes no backward steps!

HEATH FRANKLIN'S CHOPPER - Oh, oh, Chopper's back! He returns after more than a year since his last Grapes of Mirth appearance (prison?). Chopper is a crowd favourite and we can't wait for people to see him chop his way through a comedy power set.

REBECCA DE UNAMUNO - She's a comedian, actor, and a superstar of improvisation; the first female in history to be named 'Player of the Tournament' at the Improv World Cup in Montreal. She's a bloody comedy tornado, and we can't wait to welcome her to her first Grapes of Mirth!

LUKE McGREGOR - He has just finished another season of his incredibly successful T.V show "Rosehaven" and is jumping onto the Grapes of Mirth bandwagon for Newey. Luke is effortlessly funny and is a joy to see live on stage.

SAM SIMMONS - The loosest of units is coming back to Newcastle and to Grapes of Mirth. Sam Simmons is an award-winning comedian and television personality. See him before he quits comedy to become a zookeeper (that's actually a possibility)

Grapes of Mirth provides the ultimate chill-out day with six headline comedy sets, a host with the most, and some sweet DJ tunes (brought to you by the one and only, DJ PEDRO MOSHMAN!) to keep you entertained before, between, and after the comedy has ended. Only the best Hunter Valley wines, locally produced beer & cider, and plenty of gourmet grub on offer. This is an 18+ event, because there are comedians involved, and well, because there are comedians involved.
