The great Gold Rush of 2022 is here!
2022 is off to a flyer with confirmation that national treasure WILKINSON will indeed be performing at the Gold Rush Music Festival. And the Golden Run continues with the addition of electronic duo PROSPA, industry legend SKREAM and local heroes LEE MVTTHEWS, rounding off over 8 hours of entertainment across 2 stages at the Waihi A&P Showgrounds on January 3 2022.

Situated in the mining town of Waihi, the gateway to the Coromandel, Gold Rush will be the biggest dance seen since the great gold rush of 1878, with drum and bass and house producers dropping dance floor gold over 8 hours, across 2 stages.
Gold Rush Music Festival is an Endeavour Live & Live Nation production, presented by Pals, Red Bull, Tiger Beer and George FM.
BUS PASSES
Gold Rush Music Festival are operating Return bus services from 3 locations, from Waihi Beach, Whangamata and 2 x express bus from Whiritoa.
People who purchased the first round of bus passes includes access to the buses at anytime they choose. Due to demand, we have had to release allocated times to catch your bus so we can ensure that we get everyone on to site in time and in a safe manner.
WAIHI BEACH RETURN BUS - $30 +bf
Waihi Beach Community Centre - 106 Beach Road, Waihi Beach 3611
The Waihi Beach Return Bus is a return bus from the township of Waihi Beach. There will be a constant stream of buses leaving the Waihi Beach Community Centre, 106 Beach Road, Waihi Beach from 1:30pm. However, due to demand, we released a further allocation of bus passes by scheduled times. If you purchase one of these, please ensure you catch your correct allocated bus to ensure you leave on time. The last bus to leave will be 5:30pm. The return bus will leave the festival from 10:30pm. Look out for the Waihi Beach signage at the bus lane checkin.
Leave Waihi Beach: 1:30pm - 5pm
Leave Gold Rush: 10:30pm - 11:00pm
WHANGAMATA RETURN BUS - $45 +bf
Whangamata RSA - 324 Port Road, Whangamatā 3620
The Whangamata Return Bus is a return bus from the township of Whangamata. There will be a constant stream of buses leaving the Whangamata RSA, 324 Port Road from 1:30pm. However, due to demand, we released a further allocation of bus passes by scheduled times. If you purchase one of these, please ensure you catch your correct allocated bus to ensure you leave on time. The last bus to leave will be 5:00pm. The return bus will leave the festival from 10:30pm. Look out for the Whangamata signage at the bus lane checkin
Leave Whangamata: 1:30pm-5:30pm
Leave Gold Rush: 10:30pm - 11:00pm
WHIRITOA EXPRESS BUS - $45+bf (LEAVES 2pm or 5pm SHARP)
Whiritoa Tennis Courts - Kon Tiki Rd, opposite Tuna Pl, Whiritoa
The Whiritoa Express Bus is a return bus from the township of Whiritoa. The bus will leave with or without you at 2pm or 5pm from the Whiritoa Tennis Courts, Kon Tiki Road (opposite Tuna Place). Please ensure you purchase the correct ticket. The return bus will leave the festival from 10:30pm, pending enough numbers and drop Whiritoa Bus Ticketholders back to Whiritoa. Look out for the Whiritoa signage at the bus lane checkin
Leave Whiritoa: 2pm or 5pm
Leave Gold Rush: 10:30pm - 11:00pm
Note: the return bus leaving Gold Rush may leave earlier than 10:30pm should you wish to leave earlier, however, this will be dependant on a full bus.
OTHER IMPORTANT BUS INFORMATION
Masks must be worn on the bus
The bus service provided to Gold Rush, with the service and frequency of said service subject to the availability of buses, drivers and the application of all related transportation laws. Gold Rush take no responsibility for attendees failing to make the events by missing buses, or being ejected from buses or denied their use due to damage, intoxication or other unruly behaviour. In this event Gold Rush will not provide a refund and will refer the person to the appropriate authorities if required. Any damage caused by attendees may be subject to a fee.
PARKING
You must show a valid Car Park Pass purchased from Moshtix to gain entry to the car park. The Car Park is open from 1pm, and all vehicles are required to be removed by 10:00am on Jan 4. Please ensure you have a designated sober driver. There will be no sleeping in cars allowed in the carpark.
