Nipaluna's monthly edge-dwelling sanctuary, God Complex, returns to our unholy Altar for it's third instalment this March, for an industrial techno-heavy night laced with extreme performance + kinky sideshow acts. Are you in?

MC Yallah & Debmaster (UG & FR)
Yallah Gaudencia Mbidde is a Kenyan rapper based in Uganda, and a staple of the East African underground hip-hop scene for nearly 20 years. Sharing the deck with the Berlin-based French producer Julien Deblois, who teamed up to release Kubali on acclaimed Nyege Nyege sublabel Hakuna Kulala. The duo showcase east Africa’s incredibly fertile EDM scene, oozing scuzzy industrial fetish styles, up-to-the-second global bass/trap movements, and a tightly controlled flow in one or more of four languages (Kiswahili, Luganda, English and Luo).

AXON BREEZE (DJ SET)
Grindcore for the dancefloor—this Nipaluna/Hobart duo pushes the boundaries of heavy music, post-punk and hyperpop, creating unsettling soundscapes that aim for the underbelly and straddle the juncture of the dancefloor, the pit, and performance art. Comprised of multi-pronged artist JR Brennan (of Flycop + Theatre of Disco) and extreme metal drummer Sam Dowson (Mephistopheles, Milquebarth and RVNKNG).

Saintless
The reason to sin more and party hard. Saintless embraces all sexual entities on the dance floor through techno and thumping bass lines. Although a lover of all things hard and fast, he has a guilty pleasure for the light and fun. Bring the balance.

Live: Brianna Jade
A dance renegade from Nipaluna/Hobart, Brianna defies convention with an experimental exploration of the mind-body connection, influenced by Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, yoga, and mainly contemporary dance. On the dance floor, she transforms movement into a strategic expression of raw emotion and complex ideas.

Live: Samora Squid
The stretchy, slimy and strangely sexy sweet-heart of sideshow, Samora Squid swallows swords, sings songs and bends their body into the most bizarre contorted positions you have ever seen.
