Fringe Encore - Friday double pass
After a very successful series of events taking over our stage in 2019 and 2020, The Sewing Room is giving you a chance to relive some of the special moments you might have missed this Fringe season. Come down into the underground for our very limited FRINGE ENCORE series on Friday April 17 and Saturday April 18. With 4 shows across 2 nights.
FRIDAY APRIL 17 // FUNKED UP BRASS
Get off your lazy brasses and come down to get funked up with Perth's biggest and baddest brass band! Hurl yourself into the tumultuous music of the 'Dirty South,' as well as 'brassified' and 'funkified' hits of the decades. From the classic New Orleans, "When the Saints Go Marching In," to Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing," there is a tune for everyone! With the honk of 4 trombones, the hot intensity of 3 trumpets, the sensual wails of 3 saxophones, the deep growl of a sousaphone, the pounding of 2 drums, and the saucy commentary of one of Perth's premier singers, you are sure to be entertained! They say the only way to get a trombonist off your doorstep is to pay for the pizza, however in this case, buying a ticket to the show will do the same job!
7pm to 8pm - Facebook event
FRIDAY APRIL 17 // PERTH SAXOPHONE ROCKERS
After Taking out the Best WA Music Act at Fringe 2020, Perth Sax Rockers are bringing your ONE MORE NIGHT of their award-winning show!
Strap in for an action-packed, high energy rockin' extravaganza filled to the brim with all your favourite rock'n'roll classics... with a twist. Sing, dance, or air guitar to your hearts content to a selection of the best rock'n'roll classics in a whole new light. Presented by FRINGE WORLD 2019 Weekly Award Winners Perth Saxophone Rockers, this is an epic musical feat not to be missed!
Perth Sax Rockers are a group of 9 saxophonists and 1 drummer, aiming to get you up and dancing to their powerful, energetic, and raucous performance. How can you make a saxophone sound like an electric guitar? Come along and hear them for yourself!
