Event Details

Skill up your FReeZA team with everything they need to know ahead of staging events in your local community.

The Push's FReeZA Masterclasses are a series of training workshops for young people involved in the FReeZA program. Over four workshops in May and June, participants will develop the practical skills and confidence they need as they go onto stage their events in 2022. Participants will also get access to a range of practical tools and templates.

FReeZA Masterclasses are delivered both online and in person at Collingwood Yards.

FReeZA Masterclasses are $3,000 (ex. GST) for your FReeZA committee to participate.

Module 1 – An Introduction to Event Management

Module 2 – Practical Tools of Event Management

  • Practical tools of event management, including:
    • Budgets
    • Assessing and mitigating risks
    • Permits and approvals
    • Artist agreements
    • Event worksheets and run sheets

Module 3 – Safe and Accessible Events 

June 14 – 4:30pm to 6:30pm AEST

  • Programming for your audience
  • Accessibility planning (physical AND cultural/community access)
  • Community engagement
  • Artist access riders 
  • Delicensing live-music venues
  • Staffing and security

Module 4 – Branding and Promotion

June 28 – 4:30pm to 6:30pm AEST

  • How to define the identity of your project
  • Creating a strong visual and written brand
  • Building an appropriate marketing and publicity strategy
  • Creating and fostering an engaging social media presence
