To support their debut record Unfurl, Sydney alt-rock band Fergus Bailey & The Teeth will be playing La La La’s on November 24th. Supported by friends Slinky Red and Rex Inspector, the band have been fixin’ to skip town and head south since their last show here in March. In their triumphant first gig back from the 2021 lockdown, Fergus Bailey & The Teeth will be performing the album in full. 

Unfurl marries the tight instrumentation and complex musicianship typical of the band’s sound with themes of dualism, warmth and fear, and the mundane and the sacred. The result is a sparse, punchy collection of songs. The title, Unfurl, captures the main themes of the album, a moment of hope and renewal in the face of uncertainty. From the unfurling flowers of “How I Touch The World” to the healing light of “Alone In The Night”, this is the band’s Spring after what has felt like a very long Winter.
