A night showcasing 3 incredibly talented female artists and their original alt/country repertoires

Step right up! Do we have a night for you. Three incredible talented women showcasing their original acoustic alt country/roots repertoire.

Sue Ray - is an Australian Indigenous multi-award-winning singer/songwriter that captivates audiences with her original brand of country/blues and roots music, smoky rich voice and high energy performances. Often compared to such artists as Bonnie Raitt, Allison Krause and Lucinda Williams, Sue’s sound crosses genres allowing her to appeal to a wide audience demographic.

Jen Mize -  a power house vocalist, a celebrated & respected songwriter, is also recognised as one of the foremost authorities on Americana and Alt-Country music in Australia. Jen has a whole lot on her plate these days. On top of her highly regarded radio show at 98.9FM ‘Three Chords and the Truth’, (co-hosted w/Paddy McHugh) Jen is also launching her new podcast the ‘Jen Does’ series which has been touted as singular take on the ups and downs of the music business, giving unprecedented insight into the lives of artists and musicians, and the work that has inspired Jen over the years. The added bonus being that each multi-episode deep dive ‘Jen Does’ is coupled with a national tour and live concert series. The first in the series will be ‘Jen Does Joni’ a deep dive into songstress Joni Mitchell.

Alison Forbes - Watch out for the patented Allison Forbes Bullshit Meter. It might be as handy a device to have in your house as Forbes’ debut album, Bonedigger, a record which is frank and direct about herself and the world around her.“I’m a pretty good judge of character and of music and I’m very open,” says Forbes, forthrightly, of course. “I don’t give anyone any bullshit, because life’s too short. It doesn’t need to be that hard.”

There's enough talent in the room this night to lift the roof, or at least your spirits. Not to be missed!
