Ezra Lee the "Whiz Kid"

After 10 years on the road performing in country towns and in the pubs of the Australian outback with the biggest blues band in the land, The Blues Cowboys, Ezra Lee released his debut album in 2009, You Can't Stop a Freight Train on Preston Records, the album was seen by fans as a great new take on the sound of 1950s blues, rockabilly and boogie R&B.
Don Walker (Cold Chisel, Tex Don & Chalie) described Ezra Lee as "The best rock 'n' roll piano player around".
In May 2010 Lee and his band The Ezra Lee Trio flew to Barcelona to perform at the Screamin' Weekender to launch the album and in 2010 Lee performed in a musical theatre show held at The Sydney Opera House, The Ultimate Rock 'n' Roll Jam Session, with Australian stars, James Blundell, Nick Barker, Dave Larkin and Doug Parkinson. David Kary of Sydney Arts Guide website specified one of the highlights as "Whiz kid Ezra Lee banging away at the piano with everything, including his sandshoes!" On 22 April 2011 Lee performed at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend in Las Vegas, supporting the father of rock 'n' roll piano - The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis.
In 2012 recorded the album Cashed Up 'n' Crazy.
Dominique Wall of 'theMusic.com.au' website caught his album launch performance in September, "[his] onstage persona has gone from a rather quiet but incredibly talented performer to a brazen, fully fledged madman with a touch of lothario thrown in for good measure." The same year The Ezra Lee Trio toured the UK and Europe and recorded the vintage style R&B/Blues album Coal Fired Man and signed to German indie record label Rhythm Bomb Records.
In March 2013 The Ezra Lee Trio opened, and were the backing band, for the "Queen of Rockabilly", Wanda Jackson, on her six date Australian tour.
Premium Music Artists took over management of Ezra Lee in 2014 and have promoted tours of Europe, UK and USA as well as produced the rockin' rhythm & blues album Motor Head Baby in 2015 and the country honky tonk album Boomerang Boogie in 2016.
Ezra is also a member of the Melbourne based rock band The Heartbrokers (Van Walker, Jeff Lang, Ezra Lee, Cal Walker and Ash Davies).
