ECHUCA-MOAMA WINTER BLUES 2021
 CANCELLED

Hi there,

Due to the current VIC Covidlockdown and restrictions in place, we wish to confirm the ECHUCA-MOAMA WINTER BLUES FESTIVAL 2021 has been cancelled.

A message from the event organisers:

It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2021 Winter Blues Festival.

We know that you will all be as disappointed at this news as we are. The decision has been extremely difficult and is not one we have taken lightly.

We are now determined to be back better than ever in 2022 and we look forward to finally coming together next year for a weekend celebration of blues in our twin towns on the Murray.

Stay safe.

Kind regards,
 Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival Committee

Due to the number of cancellations, our refund process is taking slightly longer than usual. You don’t need to do anything; your ticket(s) will be automatically refunded back to your credit card/PayPal account and we’ll let you know when this has been done. If your card details have changed, please wait for Moshtix to contact you directly regarding this.

Please understand that given the extraordinary circumstances, our Fan Support teams are incredibly busy at the moment, so we encourage you not to contact us. Instead, you can find lots of information and answers to your questions in our information portal at tixsupport.moshtix.com.au.

We're sorry for any disappointment caused.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Kind regards,
 Moshtix

Welcome to Echuca Moama Winter Blues 2021!

After a huge amount of work, we are so glad our festival will be returning to the twin towns along the Murray River this July.

Following our cancellation in 2020, and the current restrictions in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival will look a little different this year - but it will still be all about the blues!

Due to capacity at our venues, the festival will be fully ticketed - read on to see how it works.

39 Artists, 17 Stages

While a little smaller than previous festivals, we’ve still got a huge amount of talent across our venues this July.

A weekend pass will allow you access to all venues subject to each venue’s COVID safe capped number.

You will be required to check in to each venue according to current state restrictions using the Service Victoria App.

Artists appearing (subject to change, in alphabetical order) in 2021 are:
19 Twenty, Aaron Pollock, Andrew Farrell Piano Wizard, Anna Scionti, Backwood Creatures, Benny James & The Blue Flames, Bill Barber, Blues Roulette, Bonnie Kaye & The Bonafides, Broderick Smith, Checkerboard Lounge, Creek, Dan Dinnen, Electric Blues Collective, Frank Sultana, Heavy Medicine, Jarrod Shaw, Jesse Redwing, Jesse Valach and The Testaments, Jimi Hocking Band, Jules Boult & The Redeemers, Kelly Auty, Kings & Associates, Nardia, Paul Buchanan's Voodoo Preachers, Paul Slattery, Phil Para Band, Rambal, Safari Motel, Sammy Owen Blues Band, Shane Pacey Trio, Shannon Bourne, Spoonful, Sweet Felicia & The Honeytones, The Barren Spinsters, The Detonators, The Hoodoo Men, The McNaMarr Project and White Lightning.

Stages across town will include most of our regular venues including:
Beechworth Bakery, Campaspe Library, Henry's Bridge Hotel, Radcliffe’s, The American Hotel, The Caledonian Hotel, The Echuca Club, The Gypsy Bar, The Shamrock Hotel, The Star Hotel, The Star Hotel on the Wharf, The Star Bar on Murray Esplanade.

Cape Horn Vineyard, Gunbower Hotel and Ludz & Coh (in Moama) are all part of the WBF but are not in walking distance you will need to contact them directly to check if they have seats/space for you before you head to them.

Weekend Passes
A limited number of weekend passes will be available for $75 + booking fees.  Tickets will be exchanged at the merchandise stand in High St Echuca (or the EMT Visitor Centre if you arrive before Friday midday) for a wrist band that will allow you access to all venues subject to their numbers. The number of passes we are selling is equal to the number of total places in participating venues.

Wrap Party
Our wrap party will return to Radcliffes in 2021!  Three huge sets of music, featuring the cream of the talent of this year’s festival, all backed by the wonderful rhythm section of Blues Roulette.

If you have been to this event previously, you’ll know it’s a great way to cap off your weekend with some special performances not to be seen elsewhere through the festival.  There will be no other bands scheduled after 6pm Sunday.

300 tickets will be available at $35 + booking fees.  This event sells out every year, and we expect 2021 to be no different! So buy early.

Why Are We Ticketing?
Ticketing is the only way to ensure that you will get into a venue and that we comply with Covid restrictions. You can rest assured that we will be returning to the Free Festival Model in 2022 if the Covid 19 restrictions allow.

Can I bring my child?
All stages and performances in this year’s festival are at licensed venues.  You can buy a ticket for yourself and your children under 12 (free with adult ticket purchase). Access to venues for children will be on a venue-by-venue basis, and we expect this will be challenging in current circumstances.  As such, we suggest that it might be best to check with each venue directly as to their policy before heading to the festival.

Will more tickets be available?  Will you do day passes?
The ticket numbers are based on the Venue Capacities given the Government restriction at this time. Should these restrictions ease then it will be possible for us to release more tickets. We hope to release more weekend passes closer to the festival, but we want to ensure the best experience for our wonderful Echuca-Moama audience.

Why is there no entertainment on the streets in 2021?
The current COVID restrictions in place in Echuca mean that we need to govern attendance at all events.  We have an approved COVID safe plan in conjunction with the venues, and sadly it isn’t possible in 2021 to present our range of street stages.

When will you release the performance grid?
We expect to release the full artist grid in coming weeks.  Like previous festivals, most artists will play multiple times over the festival weekend, so we hope you can all catch your favourite returning and new artists at one venue or another over the weekend.

How do I stay up to date with updates from the festival?
Our Facebook page is the best place to stay up to date with updates on all things Winter Blues.  Our website will also provide you with all the information you will need ahead of our Winter Blues weekend on 23 – 25 July.

Cancellation Policy
Should the Victorian Government re-introduce a lockdown during the festival period, tickets will be refunded less reasonable expenses.  If the cancellation occurs within a week of the Festival the Committee will incur expenses.   In this case you might expect 85% of your ticket cost to be refunded.

Got A Question?
We hope that we have answered your question in regard to this year’s festival.  The volunteer committee has worked incredibly hard to put this year’s festival together.  We will provide updates as soon as possible. You can always ask a question via our Facebook page, but please note that this is monitored by volunteers - we appreciate your patience if our response is not immediate.

Thanks - the Winter Blues Team
