Church of Misery Biography

CHURCH OF MISERY was founded by Tatsu Mikami (bass guitar) back in 1995. He was inspired to write music by bands such as Saint Vitus, Black Sabbath, Leaf Hound and Blue Oyster Cult. The band has seen various members come and go over the years with Tatsu remaining at the helm of the band and the leader of the creative process.

CHURCH OF MISERY has released multiple LP's, EP's and splits on reputable labels such as Mans Ruin, Southern Lord and Rise Above. The band has toured extensively around the world, headlining their own tours and playing support to well known acts such as Cathedral, Monster Magnet, Eyehategod, Electric Wizard and Orange Goblin.

666 Entertainment, Valhalla Touring and Young Henry's is proud to bring CHURCH OF MISERY back to Australian shores in October, 2018 as the headlining act for Doomsday Festival. The tour will see the band play in New Zealand for the first time. CHURCH OF MISERY is sounding better than ever with their new line-up and will be playing a selection of songs from their extensive back catalogue.

Grab your tickets now to avoid disappointment. Support acts for each show will be announced soon.
