Event Details

This new collaborative event will see 2 of Australia's premier Afro house production teams go head to head in an all out live experience that sees the two groups face off individually and then merge for a one off mothership combined set !

supported by Afro flavoured sets from Nay Nay and Mothafunk.

TEYMORI is the alias behind Amin Payne’s explorations into organic-influenced house music. The Melbourne-based producer self- titled first EP released in 2018, was one of the best debuts of that year, merging the sounds of funk, afro, Jazz, Percussive rhythms and taking us on an organic journey with sophisticated grooves. TEYMORI II is out now.

Digging deep into the depths of African rhythms and melodies, and influenced by international club music from Lagos to New York, DIGITAL AFRIKA is pushing the frontiers of live dance floor orien- tated Afro House in Australia and beyond.

Their music incorporates multi-instrumentation, MPC sequences, live African percussion and Digi- tal/Analog production. Their debut EP was digitally released by Wonderwheel Records (NYC) in 2019, and has met with critical acclaim from recognised taste makers around the world including Carl Cox (Awesome Sound Wave Records), Nicodemus (Wonderwheel Records), Gilles Peterson (BBC, Brownswood Records) and more.

We acknowledge that this event will be held on Wurundjeri land of the Kulin Nation and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
