Event Details

Almost exactly one year since the last sold-out Night of Dance feat DJ Boring, it is with great pleasure we present to you Denis Sulta and Jayda G for 2022’s first Day of Dance – a well overdue rave variant – deep in the UOW gardens March 19th.

Heavy supports accustomed to hosting festivities in their own right include Motorik Vibe Council, Girl Thing, Great Curve, Jacob West and your local pump purveyors Unknown Associates.

Tickets on sale now and a Covid limited capacity still applies, so book this booster in before they run out. Usual caveats in place shall the event be postponed.

Returning the only way we know how, let’s dance….

DENIS SULTA

Denis Sulta has rapidly emerged as one of the most exciting acts from the ever-fertile Glasgow scene. His unique sound has been carefully crafted having earned his stripes and a large part of his musical education and knowledge through working at the internationally renowned Rubadub record store, whilst holding down regular and ongoing sets at the world famous Sub Club.

Sulta’s meticulous and diverse approach to dance music has seen his stand out capabilities reach unbelievable new heights for someone still so young. Continued praise and support from fellow DJs and producers such as Jackmaster, Skream, Four Tet, and Optimo have aided Denis Sulta, and ultimately, his incredible hard work has allowed him to play alongside and work on projects for Annie Mac both at Radio 1 and at the legendary Space, Ibiza.

The prodigal producer has successfully graduated from the Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal with his records playing on the radio and in nightclubs the world over. To end out 2016 Denis Sulta skyrocketed in at #26 on the RA Top 100 Poll, becoming the highest new entry that year, and if rumour has it, also ever. It is undeniably clear to see that there is no slowing down for the illustrious Mr Sulta.

JAYDA G

Canadian by birth and now London-based, GRAMMY Nominated producer Jayda G has risen steadily and stealthily through the dance music underground with her infectious energy, vitality and boundless enthusiasm.

Renowned for her high-energy performances as a DJ - Jayda G has played all over the world, including a renowned Boiler Room set at Dekmantel in 2017 and since then many festivals including Glastonbury, Melt!, Night + Day Bilbao plus nights for Rhythm Section, The Hydra, Warehouse Project and many more.

In 2018 she completed her Masters in Resource and Environmental Management specialising in environmental toxicology, wherein she investigated the effects of human activity on the Salish Sea killer whales of Vancouver, in her native British Columbia. It was also the year that she finished recording her debut album.

Jayda released her EP “Both Of US / Are You Down” in July 2020, which was subsequently nominated for the 2021 GRAMMY Award for "Best Dance Recording".

It’s no surprise, then, that Jayda G’s DJ-Kicks mix, releasing on 14 May 2021, captures the buoyant spirit of the music that has influenced her most. Sitting at the centre is her new single "All I Need".
