Duke of George presents

Dave Warner - The Works!

An unmissable evening’s entertainment of Dave Warner, Tony Durant, Damien O’Doherty (and perhaps one or two others) where Dave throws the works at you – music, comedy sketches, readings, performance poems and whatever Dave might find lurking at the bottom of his artistic kitbag. Perhaps even a Pus song or two.

The Artists:

Dave Warner and Tony Durant first started working together in 1976. Fresh from Perth’s legendary proto-punk band Pus, Dave hit London and began writing the songs that were to fill Aussie venues for years to come via Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs, which Tony was to join. Since then, Dave has gone on to write award winning crime novels, plays, musicals and movies.

Guitarist Tony Durant is a hugely respected musical figure in the UK and Europe where his band Fuchsia’s album has seen him styled as the godfather of psychedelic folk.

Damien O’Doherty is a brilliant comedian who has worked stand up and review comedy all over Australia, including with Dave and the late Johnny Leopard in The Amazing Tree People.
