The Vanguard presents an evening of inner-west talent: Dadbod, Marilyn Maria and Pan-Pacific Grand Prix. Blast away your lockdown blues with an eccentric, electric lineup that is one of a kind.

Dadbod is a five-piece boomer rock outfit born in the shadows of acts such as The Eagles, The Beach Boys and Billy Joel. Taking their name from its members' robust physiques, Dadbod blends exceptional musicianship with candid stories of mental health, heartbreak and the middle-class experience. Their live performance is both artistic, candid, and of a high musical-quality.

March 2020, Australian pubs shut, and in search of a new extra curricular activity, four friends came together in a Marrickville garage and formed Marilyn Maria. Taking namesake from Monroe and the virgin martyr, with influences from The Drones to Shakira, Marilyn Maria have settled into an Australiana suburban groove; loud, catchy and cathartic.

Pan-Pacific Grand Prix is an indie-rock band from Sydney. Their members are Ross Tipper, Leigh Elphick, Helen Henry, Cash Williams and Mr. K. Walsh. Think something like if Wilco, Oasis, Ben Kweller and Pavement got together to do some shots and write some songs, that's kinda what it sounds like.
