The name CORNERSTONE epitomises what music has been and will always be for Debra Byrne. It is the experience that brings her joy, friendship, love, emotional and mental stability. Music, and especially singing is Debra’s yoga.

CORNERSTONE will perform the music from artists like The Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald and James Taylor.

Twenty years ago Dion, Chris and Debra played together at the ZBar in Prahan on Sunday afternoons. Debra had been performing for many years, yet those afternoons were the beginning of a freedom and camaraderie she had not experienced and has longed to return to that genre of music where she feels most herself, most at home.

From 2016 to 2018 Chris, Dion and Debra have performed Tapestry with Vika Bull.

The harmonies, melodies and lyrics and the coming together each night with the beautiful people that made up the Tapestry show reignited Debra’s need to create CORNERSTONE.

This is an exciting band made up of some of Australia’s finest musicians, presenting the greatest songs of all-time.
