Tuff Palace & The Servo presents
Corey Legge Band // The Bearded Cat // Chad Steele
Corey Legge plays heartfelt alt-country and rock, drawing influence from his wholesome
upbringing amongst the fertile pastures surrounding Bega (NSW). Corey has released two
albums in two years, 'Driving out of Eden' (2019) and 'Some Days' (2020), landing him high
rotation on ABC Country, and regular airplay on KIX Country, Double J and Triple J. Corey's
most popular single to date 'I Don’t Know What I’ve Got Myself in For' landed at #2 on the
Australian Country Radio charts, which led to five film clips being added to CMT on Foxtel.
Corey’s music has also been shared by the legendary James Taylor.
The recipient of a prestigious ‘Young Regional Artist Scholarship’ from Create NSW in 2018,
Corey subsequently flew to New Zealand to record his debut solo album ‘Driving out of
Eden’ and 2 nd album ‘Some Days’ with award-winning producer Ben Edwards (Julia Jacklin,
Marlon Williams). The ‘Some Days’ album title track was a semi-finalist in the 2020
International Songwriting Competition.
After having received funding from Create NSW for his 3 rd studio album, Corey recently
recorded with award-winning country producer Matt Fell at Love Hz Studios in Sydney, with
the album set to be released in early 2022. The 1 st single ‘Cemetery Kids’ was released in late
August 2021 along with a nostalgic 90’s style home video film clip, while 2 nd single ‘Love You
& Leave You’ is due out on Friday 12 th November 2021. Corey Legge will be performing at
The Servo in Port Kembla on Sunday 12 th December 2021 with his 4-piece band, supported
by The Bearded Cat and Chad Steele.

The Bearded Cat:
The Bearded Cat are an acoustic folk duo from Wollongong, Australia. The duo consists of
Jess Boyle and Darcy Ford who started making music together since 2017. Featuring sweet,
sweet harmonies and a glockenspiel, The Bearded Cat takes influences from Fleet Foxes, Alt-
J, and Angus and Julia Stone.
Jess and Darcy met during their time studying music at the University of Wollongong.
Collaborating on assignments, the pair found common ground in their writing style and
performance. Starting as a rag-tag folk cover band, the duo quickly started writing and
experimenting within the confides of their voices, a guitar and a glock.
Chad Steele:
Launching his solo career at the start of the year, Chad Steele (of Popasaurus and The
Huneez) is finally bringing his signature style to the live stage. Having recently released his
debut album, Waking Dream, Chad has since arranged live versions of original tracks from
the high-octane Dream/Believe to the jazz-rock styled The Midnight Bar, as well as a few
surprises as well.
