Comedy of Errors Retrospective - The Songs 1982 to 1992 Featuring Steve Robinson with guests The Culprits (David Beniuk and Ty Emerson) and Denise Thomas
You may not have heard of Comedy of Errors, the band didn’t hit the big time and really that wasn’t the plan. We just wanted a gig.
But you may have heard of things that Comedy of Errors started. These were, The Oxford Tavern, the first CD release out of Wollongong, the first Wollongong compilation album Socketwood, the first music industry training course in NSW (now TAFE’s Music Business and Sound courses) and the creation of 313 Music and Arts Training Centre.
The retrospective features the songs. A decade of Wollongong hits written by Steve Robinson and performed by what was an ever changing line up of great local musicians. Many of those musicians have now passed or are incapacitated. The 16 October 2022 will be 2 years since the original drummer Mark Callaghan died of cancer.
On the night you’ll see Steve Robinson with Rob Laurie on drums, and Tim Ritchie, Jim Sheehan and Kylie Pickford sharing bass. Supporting will be David Beniuk and Ty Emerson playing the hits from The Culprits and Denise Thomas.
