The second edition of Comedy Lounge @ Freo.Social will feature funnymen Craig Quartermaine and Jon Pinder, with more guests to be announced.
Mocking identity and labels is easy when a family secret can change everything you think you are... and when being yourself is the worst career move you could ever make. Savage, slick and hilarious Craig Quartermaine (Tonightly with Tom Ballard, NITV, triple j's One Night Stand-Up) is back with another lovingly barbed show packed with personal stories and acerbic insights.
In 2018, national RAW comedy finalist Craig travelled to St Helen's in Tassie to perform on the first ever comedy stage at triple j's 'One Night Stand' live show. 20,000 people attend that event, but that's nothing compared to the well over 2 million views Craig subsequently earned for the clip of his set.
He's co-headlined with Brendon Burns and opened for comedy heavy-weights Hannibal Buress, Chris D'Elia, Nazeem Hussain and Jim Jefferies in their theatre shows, and now Craig is back with another show packed with his take on race, politics - and enjoying life as an Indigenous Australian and Horse Husband.
Jon Pinder is a RAW Comedy national finalist, tattooist and looks like a reject from an Oasis tribute band.
He says he doesn't know what style of comedy he does, he just calls it 'organised stupidity'. Whatever his style is, it works.
