PRO TECHNO PRESENTS CHRIS LIBERATOR

The Pro Techno squad returns and is proud to present the UK underground acid techno legend "Chris Liberator" for the next chapter of Pro Techno! The co-founder of the mighty Stay Up Forever records imprint will be joining Pro Techno spinning a two-hour vinyl set of his infamous brand of anarchistic punk-influenced acid techno!

Beginning his career in the underground illegal UK warehouse party scene in 1991, Chris' unique sound and style quickly made him one of the most in-demand DJ's. In 1993, Chris co-founded the now-infamous acid techno record label "Stay Up Forever" producing his unique brand of acid and techno alongside D.A.V.E The Drummer, Lawrie Immersion, Geezer, DDR, and many others under a myriad of different aliases and subsequently beginning sub-labels such as Stay Up Forever Remixes, Cluster, and many more.

After co-founding the Stay Up Forever Collective and headlining events around the globe, Chris' profile saw him climb high on the ranks of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ List several times. Despite the rise in popularity, Chris has always kept it real and never compromised his sound, and carries his anti-system principals and punk roots to this day. Chris still plays in two punk bands and also spins punk and reggae sets
Chris Liberator's name has become synonymous with acid techno and the sound of the infamous TB303, creating some of the scenes biggest anthems including "One Night In Hackney", "London Acid City", "Croydon Girl", "X-Ray OK", "Soul Mantra", "Scum Like Us Like Acid", and many, many more. Chris still only plays on vinyl and is just as dedicated to his art and philosophy as he was when he started 28 years ago!

To celebrate both Melbourne Music Week and the partnership between Stay Up Forever and Flatlife Records, Pro Techno Australia presents Chris Liberator playing a two-hour vinyl set for his only Melbourne show at this strictly limited capacity night...
