Event Details

Chloe Kay and The Crusade are Australia's next big blues rock band, and following sell out shows and festivals playing alongside some of Australia's finest blues and soul musicians including Jade McCrae, Ray Beadle, Foreday Riders and Mahalia Barnes, and having the support of Joe Bonamassa, and Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool, Mondo Rock) behind them, they're making their return to The Vanguard stage on Wednesday January 5th for their first post lockdown show to launch their second single 'Brokedown and Broke'. They'll be joined by blues guitar virtuoso Simon Kinny Lewis and band, and mind blowing blues rockers Midnight Movers. For only $15 a ticket this is not a show to be missed!

The Sydney based group released their debut single 'Just Got Burned' in February 2021. The fierce, riff focused single was met with tremendous support, it received international airplay including Triple J, the accompanying music video was added to CMT rotation, and Joe Bonamassa added the song to two of his Spotify playlists leading to a multitude of new fans worldwide. Triple J radio host Nkechi Anele dubbed the track ‘absolute fire’ and praised Chloe’s ‘powerhouse’ vocal.

24-year-old frontwoman Chloe Kay’s powerful and delicate approach to the blues is packed full of feel, ferocity, finesse, and vibrato. The band features 19-year-old British guitar prodigy Ewan Lund who plays with all the passion and maturity of a man four times his age. Behind the kit is rock n roll maestro George Anderyous, Brazilian groove-meister Johnatan Fassio on bass, and the versatile and edgy Adam Fawcett on keys.

Their long awaited second single is a blues that'll make you groove inspired by a ‘poetic’ story of camaraderie told to Chloe by Chris Layton of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble.

Put your dancin shoes on, invite ya mates and get around the intoxicating sounds of wailing guitars, powerful vocals, and astoundingly tight musicianship from all 3 bands.
