In celebration of the Chippendale New World Art Prize 2016 in partnership with Vivid Ideas, you are invited to join us for a travelling feast for the senses at the Mekong Banquet Dinner on Thursday 2nd June.   From 8PM till late in Mekong, Kensington Street's newest dining venue, fellow diners will join the esteemed judges of the Chippendale New World Art Prize to revel in authentic flavours of the Indochine. This is a one-nighter event, and selling fast.   With exquisite Teusner Wines wine pairings carefully selected by Director of Cuttings Wine, Justine Walters, delight in chef Tiw Rakarin's extraordinary cuisine stemming from the crisp, mouth-watering flavours of Indochine. With a menu designed for sharing, you will be transported on a culinary journey up the Mekong River, meandering through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. It promises a unique dining experience, brought to life with a theme of sensory cuisines, adventure and sharing with loved ones.   Esteemed judges Wayne Tunnicliffe, head curator of Australian art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales; Dr Stanley Quek, the former Chairman of Frasers Property Australia, current Executive Chairman of Greencliff Pty Ltd, and the prizes benefactor; Pat Corrigan, the renowned Australian art collector and arts philanthropist; and Janet Laurence, internationally celebrated Australian artist will join our travelling feast and engage us with talks on philanthropy and the art of collecting.   Together, we dine on food and culture whilst sharing our unbridled love of art, its acquisition and its creation.   For $75 a head, book your seat on this culinary river cruise -- where the only travel essentials required are a thirst for fine food, wine, culture and art. All aboard!
