YOUNG MARCO Bio

Young Marco has carved a path through nearly every corner of club music, eventually emerging with a signature sound: high-energy, psychedelic house and techno that lifts dance floors into ecstatic states. Renowned for his ability to veer into the unexpected, his sets are a hypnotic journey that transcend genre boundaries. As the founder of Safe Trip Records, Marco brings the same ethos to his label, spotlighting emerging talent and curating critically acclaimed compilations. From the beloved Welcome To Paradise series, which revived 90s Italian house, to Planet Love, a celebration of early trance, the label has become a touchstone for adventurous dance music.

Marco’s own discography spans two studio albums—Biology and Bahasa—alongside a string of EPs and compilation appearances that reflect his uplifting and emotive style. As a remixer, he’s lent his distinctive touch to artists like Robyn, Sebastian Tellier, Marie Davidson, and Metronomy. He is also one-third of Gaussian Curve—the ambient supergroup formed with Italian pioneer Gigi Masin and Scottish artist Jonny Nash. Their albums Clouds and The Distance on Music from Memory became essential listening during the ambient revival.

In 2022, Marco expanded his repertoire by scoring his first feature-length film, Met Mes. The following year, he reached new heights with the breakout success of What You Say?, a rework of Imogen Heap’s Hide and Seek. Debuted during his now-iconic Boiler Room set at Dekmantel, the track quickly became a global hit, introducing Marco to a broader audience. A regular at institutions like Dekmantel and Rush Hour, Marco has spent the last decade touring globally. From underground clubs to main stages, including a landmark closing set at Dekmantel, his mission remains clear: to defy expectations and lead listeners into uncharted sonic territories.
