DOORS OPEN 1PM // MUSIC STARTS 2PM
The event organisers have been in touch to let us know that the show on Sunday 22 March 2020 has been cancelled.
Message from the event organisers:
We are very sorry to announce that this Sunday's Chess Sessions show has been cancelled for now due to precautions we need to take to protect the public and artists from COVID-19. We hope we can reschedule when the virus threat is no longer an issue. Take care everyone.
Due to the number of cancellations, our refund process is taking slightly longer than usual. You don’t need to do anything; your ticket(s) will be automatically refunded back to your credit card/PayPal account and we’ll let you know when this has been done. It can take up to 3-5 business days for the funds to return to your account. If your card details have changed, please wait for Moshtix to contact you directly regarding this.
If you're unable to see the refund in your account after 5 business days, please contact your financial institution before contacting Moshtix.
Alternatively, if you purchased tickets from an outlet you will need to go back to the point of purchase.
Please understand that given the extraordinary circumstances, our Fan Support teams are incredibly busy at the moment, so we encourage you not to contact us. Instead, you can find lots of information and answers to your questions in our information portal at tixsupport.moshtix.com.au.
We're sorry for any disappointment caused.
Thank you very much for your patience.
Kind regards,
Moshtix
Chris Stockley’s Chess Sessions
Throughout Chris Stockley’s 50 year musical journey that has seen him in some of Australia’s finest bands – Campact, Dingoes, Axiom, Jimmy Barnes Band, and Stockley See Mason – he has never lost his passion for the Blues. With his latest line-up, BRAM (Blues, Roots, Americana) Chris has drawn on his archival knowledge of, and fascination for Chess Records, to produce The Chess Sessions.
When the US industrial revolution attracted southern farm workers north, The Chess brothers recognised the commercial potential of servicing Chicago’s ever-growing black community.
Having already signed local Blues artists Muddy Waters, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley were added as Rhythm & Blues morphed into Rock and Roll and Etta James with the emergence of Soul.
For one night only, Chris and BRAM along with Ezra Lee, Kelly Auty and Robert Price will celebrate the hotbed of brash, blues, r’ n’ b’ and joyous rock ‘n roll of the 50s and 60s that was the legendry Chess Records.
