Event Details

CHAPERONE makes music you can dance to.

Blending the best of modern Pop, Alternative Rock and R&B, CHAPERONE brings together raw energy and a deep passion for their musicianship. As comfortable on stage as they are in the studio, the seven-piece have been devoted to a physical, exhilarating live show since their 2023 debut.

Between their relentless touring schedule, playing over two-hundred live gigs in the past three years, the group put out two EPs: 2023’s ‘GIVE IT THE PEOPLE’; and 2024s’ ‘LIKE STRANGERS’, as they discovered their sound together. Their latest singles include 2025’s ‘NEWLYWEDS’, their debut in self-production, evokes late ‘70s Funk and Disco with notes of modern Dance-Rock à la Parcels, Jungle; and ‘BLIND’ which draws heavily on the burgeoning Aussie Punk and Alt-Rock scenes, inspired by acts like Amyl & The Sniffers, Radio Free Alice.

Based in Eora Nation, ‘Selene and the Strange’ is bringing you eclectic indie synth rock, sapphic lyrics, and maybe even some line dancing, all in the goal to get you groovin’.

When the poet meets the songwriter, ‘Selene’ emerged from the collaboration of Sam and Lydia, before being joined by Paris, Jordy, Dylan and Zoe to create the smoky, ethereal pop of Selene.

‘Selene’ is always trying to shake things up; from a live acrobatic performance at Sydney Fringe Festival, touring Byron Bay and QLD with the Voice 2025 Semi-Finalist Euan Hart, to their second single launch ‘Junkyard’ featuring line dancing, the group have been jumped head first into the Sydney Music scene.
