CAPITAL FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL – 9 APRIL 2022 - VENUE CHANGE!!!!! 



Capital Food & Wine Festival has changed venue to Stage 88, Commonwealth Park Canberra.


Due to the increase in the number of vendors we have had to change sites. Please note that the venue has changed to Stage 88, Commonwealth Park Canberra just across the lake.

This means more vendors, more entertainment and a massive stage to watch Sneaky Sound System!

FAQ for Capital Food & Wine

What to bring 

  • Your ticket (tickets will not be available to purchase at the gate and must be pre-purchased) 
  • ID 
  • Weather protection (including sunscreen, wet weather gear, hat, etc.) 
  • Picnic rugs, fold out chairs, blankets… get comfy! 


What not to bring 

  • Glass or metal cutlery 
  • No BYO alcohol 
  • Bean bags or air beds 
  • Marquees, tents or shade structures 
  • Aerosols or flammable substances 
  • Professional cameras or drones 


Pets 

Please keep your animal at home as Capital Food and Wine is a no pet zone. Guide dogs or Assistance Animals are welcome. 

Bikes, skateboards and electric scooters are also not permitted. 

ID Checks 

Patrons over 18 will be provided a wrist band upon entry. Any patron without a wristband will not be served alcohol at the festival. 

Complimentary Glasses 

A complimentary glass will be provided upon entry. Tastings and Samplings will be offered by all alcohol vendors. There will also be an option to purchase individual drinks from these vendors. 

Takeaway Sales 

Bottles of wine, spirits and beer are available for purchase to be taken and enjoyed offsite. You will receive a token at the time of sale and be able to pick up your purchase when leaving the venue. 

Smoking 

Cigarettes including electronic or any type of smoking is not permitted at the event. There will be an option for you to leave the venue and return if you are wearing a wristband. 

ATMs 

There will be no ATMs on-site. 

Wheelchair Access 

Stage 88, Commonwealth Park is wheelchair accessible. However, due to the site’s naturally varied landscape portions of the gardens may be inaccessible. 

Tickets 

Tickets will be required to be granted entry on the day. Please note, tickets will need to be pre-purchased – they will not be available for sale at the gate. 

Food & Drink 

We will have various food and drinks vendors available on the day however if you do have any specific dietary requirements, light snacks are permitted into the venue. Outside beverages are not permitted. 

Water Stations 

Tap water will be provided free of charge. But bottles of water can also be purchased from vendors. 

Hours of Operation 

The gates will open at 11am and the event will conclude at 6pm. 

Pick Up/Drop Off 

We will have pick up and drop off zones for Ubers, Taxis & private vehicles. Please keep in mind that this is a quick drop off zone, and cars will be moved through rapidly to reduce traffic. Please follow the directions of the traffic control attendants on the day. 

First-Aid 

A First Aid Officer will be available at the festival if required. They are located near the main stage. 

Covid-Safe Event 

We are a COVID-Safe event. To protect yourself and those enjoying the festival around you, please ensure you observe and follow the guidelines as set out by ACT Health.
