Following his sold-out East Coast Headline Tour, Cap Carter today releases his first live EP, Live Vol 1.  The 5 track EP includes unreleased new material as well as an outstanding live version of current single ‘Reasons’. Recorded at Forbes Street Studio in Sydney, the live recordings are songs written through Caps own personal and lived experiences, working a fusion of r&b soul with an edge and grit that is unique and refreshing. 

Alongside today’s release, the Western Sydney singer, songwriter, storyteller and TikTok sensation announces The Sequel National Headline Tour. Cap will perform in all capital cities from Thursday October 27th until Friday November 18th.  

Next month, Cap embarks on more live shows when he supports one of the year’s hottest rising stars, US artist Teddy Swims. Meeting over socials with mutual appreciation of each other’s work, the two unique singer-songwriters teed up Cap joining the now sold out, AUS and NZ tour.

I wrote this song as a reminder that better things were to come at the end of last year. Most of 2021 was spent in rehab and I needed to find a way to keep going - this song was written at the end of one of the hardest years in my life.

Questions (Live)

I spent some time in Melbourne last May in solitude at the Grampians. Drank a lot of whisky, cried a lot, eventually found some peace. I had my guitar by a fire that night and I wrote this song and captured a moment.

When I was in rehab they asked us to write a letter to our younger selves - pre addiction. That activity was hard. This song started out as a letter to a 13 year old me and became an anthem for me to make that kid proud. 

Luvluv (Live)

This song was written with innocence in mind. A throwback to days gone by reminiscing on young love and trying to force a situationship. There was a time when I would wake every morning at 7:45 to my nephew running into my room waking me up from dreams. Shoutout to my nephew.  

Hope (Live) 

People always ask me what my favourite song is - and this comes really close to it. Hope is an ode to love lost and building a new life - this version encapsulates for me the way it was truly meant to be heard.
