Event Details

Leroy Macqueen arrived at the door of the Aussie alt-country party last month with hypnotic western banger On The Run. Now the door has been thrown wide open with the release of Leroy’s debut EP - The Only One. With four songs including said debut single - On The Run, which has been enjoying high rotation on ABC Country since it’s release. Title track and romantic heart-melter The Only One, reminiscent of a long lost love song that could have been a hit for Chris Isaak or even the Big O, written about the love of Leroy’s life. Roam - A classic country slow jam about the dream of leaving the big smoke for the quiet life, and rounded out by Flood, Fire & Snow, an acoustic campfire number that sounds like an old drover’s tale of hardship on the land, but is actually a story about the lengths that Leroy has gone to over the years to do whatever it takes to make it to the next gig! Cowboys and musicians, it turns out, have a lot in common in that way.

After already clocking up some fresh frequent flyer miles early in the year with a sold-out headline tour and then smashing it out of the park as a surprisingly suitable main support for DZ Deathrays and Skegss on recent tours, Leroy is now hitting the road for an east coast tour in support of The Only One with indie-folk sweethearts Little Quirks!

So grab a ticket today and while you wait for the tour to roll into town, kick back and enjoy The Only One, brought to you by alt-country’s new kid on the block, Leroy Macqueen!
