The PERTH BLUES CLUB presents

Brett Hardwick Trio + Tommy “Boss” Bosson  & the Score

Brett Hardwick Trio | 7.30pm

Brett is one of Perth’s best known guitarists. Mixing blues with jazz, funk, country and rock, he has forged his own style.
Beginning on the classical guitar at 6 years old, discovering Jimi Hendrix at 15, studying jazz at the WA Conservatorium and then working professionally in various Rock and contemporary bands has led Brett to a point where he fronts his own band, reinventing covers or performing originals. Acts he has supported include the Bull Sisters and Renae Geyer. Nominated for the 2007 Music Oz awards Brett is always inventive and original.

Tommy “Boss” Bosson  & the Score | 8.30pm

THE SCORE has been an On & Off project of Tommy “Boss” Bosson’s for the past 18 years. The line-up has changed each time he has returned to the Perth area. This reincarnation has been together for around 18 months, now but have a combined playing experience of around 130 years. While always striving to play with a genuine and authentic blues feel, the band are aware that it is the dance floor the rules and so love to get some audience participation going, by playing some Hot Jump Blues, with West Coast Swing, some Chicago Shuffles and even a Rhumba and Salsa thrown in to get your toes a tapping. They can play the Blues to make you cry or have you moving and a grooving on the dance floor all night long, with lead Harmonica from Tommy “Boss” Bosson, and searing soulful guitar work from Glenn “The Captain” Carpenter, backed by a power house rhythm section of Al “The Funk Master” Wilson on Bass and Trevor “The Gig Pig” Judd on the Drums.
Tommy “Boss” Bosson & The Score mix Rhythm with Blues and some Boogie with Booze and the result is a hot, fun, foot stomping night.
