"The future of the blues is secure" - Blues Blast Magazine (USA)

Tomcat Playground are a vibrant reflection of the 1950s and 60s American blues scene, at a time when the genre had shifted from the sharecropping roots of the deep south to the bright lights of the city. A 4 piece act of some of Australia’s most respected blues musicians this act drives guitar and amplified harmonica as it were in Chicago and Memphis in an era that was dominated by Muddy Waters, Howlin wolf and Little Walter.  Featuring PJ O’Brien guitar, Dan Sullivan harmonica, Greg Clark drums and Mike Rix bass the act has toured the USA, played on P&O blues cruises, frequented the Sydney, Australian, Broadbeach, Echuca, Bendigo festivals and always delivers blues listeners a tale of return to the era which shaped modern blues and rock and roll.
