Belly Blues are stoked to have seasoned blues star Dean Haitani joining us on Wednesday, 9 January.

Dean Haitani was born in a small town in Victoria, Australia where his earliest influence was his father, James, who played the piano, harmonica and piano accordion. His mother was also a good singer but both parents never played music professionally.

At the age of four, Dean was exposed to a whole array of music from his father's tape collection, including country artists such as Hank William's, Slim Whitlam, Willie Nelson, Freddie Fender, old-time honky tonk music and classical..

Through Dean's local music shop, he got connected to Lee Kernaghan's sisters, Tania and Fiona, and played in a trio with them for some time as well as playing in blues bands and solo at the age of 18, he then moved to Melbourne to pursue the blues scene.

Dean now resides between the UK and Australia and regularly visits USA for music.

Dean has many years experience playing music, touring America and Europe, New Zealand and Fiji,.

Dean is in the process of recording music for TV and continuing to write and producing new albums.
