BATERIA 61 or B61 is a Samba band based in Sydney, Australia. Our main focus is on Samba Batucada, though we also play a bit of Samba Reggae and dabble in other styles too. Samba Batucada is the sound of the famous carnival of Rio de Janeiro. It's uplifting, high-energy, noisy, seductive and addictive. It has been said that it's impossible to feel unhappy when playing samba. Our goal is to spread the joy of Samba in Sydney. We do this by performing wherever possible!
 
Unidos De Sydney (UDS) is a not for profit, community project that has a mission to show the wider community the joy and energy that comes from samba music and dance.
They do this through regular practice sessions, hosting events and workshops, live performances and parading. UDS is a diverse, multicultural and inclusive community that welcomes people of all backgrounds but pays respect to Brazilian culture.
