Wednesday, March 25th sees the release of a new, heady brew complete with notes of Folk, Blues and Alt country from the Batch Brewing Co. A combination as inseparable as sunburn and the English, beers and bands have set the scene for many tales of woe and wow from as long as there has been…bands and beers.

The Batch Sessions elevates this experience with the unique backdrop of kegs and growlers, mixed with the distinct aromas of brewing beer, creating an intimate space to showcase a host of up and coming talent. First up, Bears With Guns and Liam Gale.

Bears With Guns are a folk inspired alternative rock band originally hailing from rural NSW. Creating a mix of delicate acoustic ballads, screaming guitar solos, and a drive of worldly rhythms accompanied by mandolin, ukulele and keyboards, they have toured extensively across Australia and abroad, notably supporting the iconic Icehouse on their east coast leg and performing at the Rhythm & Vines festival 2011.

Stemming from his humble roots as a pre-eminent blues and folk musician, Liam Gale cultivates a blend of traditional folk, psychedelic rock and worldly rhythms. More recently, Liam's craft has been moulded by his journeys between rural and urban NSW, with these experiences embedding themselves within the writing and recording process, in turn creating a constant vessel for new music.
