BANOFFEE – Tear Tracks Live have been in touch to let us know that due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19 cases in Sydney the show is being rescheduled and will no longer take place this Friday 17 December, 2021.

A message from the artist...

"It’s with regret that I announce the postponement of my show at The Lansdowne tonight (december 17).

With Christmas looming and many of us about to spend close time with friends and family, the risk of either passing on COVID to our loved ones or quarantining over the holiday period is too high. It’s become apparent that many of you have the same concerns.

I intend to return to Sydney next year and if you’ve bought a ticket of course you can use the same one for the new date. Any reasons you have for not being able to attend will of course be accepted and you can receive a full refund if that’s better suited.

I’m so grateful to The Lansdowne for being so understanding about this cancellation. Venues are suffering all over Australia and we must support them in any way we can. They’re an amazing venue who’ve always supported me and I intend to honour their kindness by coming back ASAP. Please support them how you can.

I am so sad not to see you all tonight. My shows for you are the reason I still do this job. I love playing for you, meeting you and sharing the moments we share.

I will be back in 2022 and we will have those moments!!!

Stay safe and look out for each other, we’re going to get through this horrible weird time and it’s going to be what makes us even stronger than we are.

Banoffee has just announced two intimate shows in Sydney & Melbourne to support the launch of her latest album, Tear Tracks. 

Tear Tracks is a document of a love going up in flames that doubles as a thrilling, viscerally-felt pop record. Of the album’s concept, Banoffee explains, “Tear Tracks is a linear record of a deep suffering during lockdown in Australia. It's a break up album but also a body of work that mourns the loss of my old life, lost friends and indulges in the deep depression that came with those things.” While deeply heart-wrenching in it’s content, Banoffee invites the listener to utilise Tear Tracks as a companion to their own adversity. “I hope people can take comfort in this record, not by cheering up but by refusing to deny their suffering and letting it wash over them.”

The venue will be taking a number of precautionary measures to ensure patron safety, including:

- Signage and social distancing markers throughout the venue
- Regular sanitising of the venue and facilities
